The HR generalists will support two environments: Fulfillment and Kitchen facilities located in North Jackson, Ohio
The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. The HR Generalist manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: departmental development, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are incompliance.
Assists in the interpretation duties (both verbal and written) as it relates to our Spanish speaking employees
Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
Educates and trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Assists with the administration of the performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
Tracks Worker?s Compensation statistics; restrictions, days lost; and works with department managers regarding accommodations
Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree in HR Management or Business with a concentration in HR is preferred
3+ years minimal experience of working in Human Resources or related field, preferably in a production/manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, leadership development, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws, sourcing, recruiting and hiring of top personnel
Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the organization effectively
Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as ability to work independently and self-directed
Demonstrate ability to manage competing priorities while meeting required deadlines
Proactive, able to adapt, flexible, self-motivated and self-starter
Strong conflict management skills
Above average computer skills utilizing Microsoft Suite.
Ability to be available on multiple shifts
Must be able to keep a confidence and handle confidential information
Ability to multi-task efficiently and error free
High level of detail orientation
Above average organizational skills - Ability to prioritize
Above average communication skills, both verbal and written

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
